We started Holiday to Albaniabecause we kept coming back. Every trip, we'd get home, realize how much wasn't covered in English anywhere online, and quietly hope that the country stayed under the radar a little longer. That didn't happen — it never does. So we're writing the guide we wanted, before the place changes.
What we do
We run the #1 English-language travel directory for Albania. Every listing on this site pulls together real data — Google ratings, review topics, amenities, opening hours, busy times — and pairs it with editorial we write ourselves. No auto-generated reviews pretending to be customer feedback, no affiliate-only content, no generic guidebook copy.
How we make money
Two ways, both disclosed. We earn commissions when you book hotels, tours, or activities through our affiliate links — at no extra cost to you. And we offer a paid growth package to Albanian businesses that want help showing up in search. Nothing about either of those changes the editorial. A paid listing doesn't get kinder prose; it gets better placement.
Our scoring is transparent
Every business gets a Holiday Score out of 10, computed from Google's overall rating, review volume, and sentiment on the topics that matter for the category (food, service, cleanliness, value, accessibility). We don't rank by who pays us. We publish the methodology on every listing — tap “How we score” to see the inputs.
Who we are
A small team working out of the US, with partners and local editors in Tirana and Sarandë. We're travelers first — this is the guide we wish existed when we first flew into Rinas.
