Restaurants in Ksamil
Basilico Restaurant sits in Ksamil, the coastal village that's become Albania's unexpected food destination. The menu runs through Italian classics—risotto, seafood linguine, pistachio pasta—alongside Greek staples like moussaka, all executed with enough precision to justify the loyal following. Open from breakfast through late dinner, it's built itself on both the small details (free dessert, local rakija) and the fundamentals: wine and beer, dine-in and takeout, Wi-Fi for those who want it.
Exceptional · based on 1,173 Google reviews
Our weighted 10-point Holiday Score combines Google's overall rating, review volume, and sentiment around specific topics (service, food, atmosphere, accessibility). Sub-dimension scores weight category-specific signals — for restaurants we look at food and value mentions; for hotels at cleanliness and location; for beaches at water quality and facilities. Accessibility is weighted from verified wheelchair and mobility attributes.
Scores above 8.5 represent outstanding quality. 10.0 is reserved for editorial picks.
Why we like it
We return to Basilico because it does the obvious things extremely well. The risotto alone pulls people back, but it's the consistency across the menu—from moussaka to panna cotta—that keeps it packed. In a village where food tourism is the whole point, Basilico has somehow avoided the trap of relying on novelty. The outdoor seating, the free dessert, the late hours: these feel like the result of listening to what people actually want.
